Almost everyone who come to the internet marketing for the first time ask whether they can do it part time. This is a legitimate question as one can’t learn everything there is to mlm in one day. In the meanwhile people need a steady income.

It’s definitely a legitimate concern because Building MLM business doesn’t paid just for doing something in the internet business full time. The idea behind any opportunity for self-employment, and internet marketing is certainly one of the best ones, is not how much TIME you spend on it. Let’s look realistically at any job. Your employer is not interested in keeping you full-time if the volume of work is just for 3 hours a day, or if you can do your share of work faster than in conventional 8 hours. You are paid by your PRODUCTIVITY in a certain period of time. I have known people who were paid $250 an hour and those paid just $5. Professionals are paid for the amount of work they can manage in an hour and not for drinking coffee and eating doughnuts which takes time as well. Of course, production is tightly related to time that is allocated for certain task.   It is very unlikely that one can sell 5 cars an hour – a month would be a more realistic timeframe even for a good seller. Consequently, you can’t hope to make 20,000 dollars a month in the mlm business just because you put in it 20 hours of day, 7 days a week. There are a number of factors that influence your productivity and time is just one of them.

Another assessment tool for the internet marketing business that tells far much more about your business is the number of leads you generate and the number of prospects you can sponsor in a period of that time. What is considered good productivity in an mlm business? I would call a marketer who can produce 40 leads and sponsor at least 5 prospects in a 20 hour part time week, a successful one. If that sounds like you, I am happy for you and urge you to start mentoring others if you haven’t been doing so till now. On the other hand, it you are able to only come up with 1 lead a week and 1 prospect a month, you will have a hard time with internet marketing doesn’t matter whether it’s part-time or full-time.

So the keyword in your business is PRODUCTIVITY. If you think that you are not at least 90% productive due to your limited knowledge of marketing, strategies that you employ, or any other reasons, I have prepared for you several tips that will help you organize your home based company. Marketers who have learned productivity of close to 100% can choose between having a full time or part time marketing business involvement.

1.Come up with a new PRODUCTIVITY-oriented mentality. Employed people think in terms of time: full-time/part-time; businessmen think of how much they do and analyze the RESULTS of their work. What have I done in these 10 hours a week? How many good leads have I generated this week? How many prospects have I sponsored? And finally, the question you have been working for: HOW MUCH MONEY CAME TO MY ACCOUNT?
2.    A major step would be to contact a number of possible reputable mentors with good credentials and choose the best one to teach you success in mlm. It’s better to see once how it’s done than to hear about it ten times.
3.    Define your strengths and weaknesses. A mentor could potentially be of great help here as well.
4.    Treat your time the way you treat cash. Investing time in drinking coke and eating hot dogs every half an hour will do no good. Lock out all possible distractions for the time you work: phone calls, noisy children, friends and snacks.  Only focused time with a concentrated attention to what you do, whether you talk to your prospects, write content or manage your mlm system will eventually count. Organize the time you have decided to invest in your internet-based mlm business in the best possible way.
5.    Outsourcing is probably the best tool available for marketers as there are many people out there who can help you with your business. If you want it to be part-time, the best solution is to understand what needs your foremost attention and what can be managed through outsourcing. At this point you already know what you are good at. Select a perfect team of workers that would complement what you have. Thus you will increase your productivity to over 95% and more.  You can even find help among family, friends or students in your neighborhood who would be willing to help you. Just check them out. You are the boss and bosses don’t do everything themselves.

So my answer to the question: YES, it is possible to succeed in mlm being involved in it part-time but you need to know what to do and how to do it.

Just remember that mlm is not only strategies and plans but a change of mentality and attitude to your job.
