How To Market On Facebook Without Annoying Everyone
Written by myworldplus on November 14th, 2009 in MLM.
Facebook is one of those cutting edge strategies that you’ve got to pay attention to if you want to prosper online in your business. Currently, Alexa ranks Facebook the number three website on the entire internet over the last three months. However, this month (September 2009) Facebook is rated #2, passing up both YouTube and Yahoo. It’s a simple fact that Facebook is the wave of the future online and it’s something that can help all of us make more money from our respective businesses. My overall intention with this message is to warn about some mistakes that most people make, as well as give you a strategy that personally increases my sales by 200%.
So what’s the guiding principle behind marketing successfully on Facebook? Simply put, I want you to understand that social networks are there to do one thing, and that’s to build relationships. There isn’t a person alive who just LOVES being annoyed to death by offers all day and night. I can’t even describe how irritating and demeaning this is to all of our businesses when someone decides they’re going to spam the universe with all of their information. (If that’s you, do us all a favour and stop it today.)
So what you want to do is just be on Facebook to really connect with people, and to benefit them in some way if you can. If your goal is to improve others lives, simply convey value in your messages and they are find to send out, as long as the sole purpose of the message isn’t to sell something! Remember, have a goal of solving problems in all the actions you take, and others will be attracted to your business offers all on their own.
This concept doesn’t just apply on Facebook, it also applies in life. Haven’t you been pestered by that annoying guy in Church, or in a business meeting who’s just out to get a sale? Well, I certainly have. This is both annoying and it gives the wrong message out. Who wants to recieve spammy messages on their wall on Facebook every day?
Before I get too far into this, I want to be clear. Even though Facebook isn’t my most used strategy, I do use it quite a bit. Essentially, when I get new subscribers to my traffic newsletter, I find that person on Facebook If I have time, and I add them as a friend, sending them a personal hello message. By performing the simple act of connecting with my subscribers, I sell twice as much product as I did from the same amount of people, because they relate to me on a more personal level. Simple, isn’t it? The next step is to simply keep in touch with people who take the time to say hello personally. I don’t take too much time doing this, I just respond to all of my messages a couple of times per week.
It really boggles my mind how few people are using Facebook to connect with their customers. I’ve made a lot of great friends this way, and A LOT of money, without annoying a single person. Try it, and let me know how it works!
Remember, just keep in mind the following principle and you’ll be ok. Give with abundance, and you’ll recieve with abundance as a result. This is the law of abundance, my friend. Perhaps I’ll see you on Facebook.
