Though there are thousands of legitimate companies that provide real work at home jobs to people, there are still chances of scammers.
Since working at home is irresistible to virtually all people, fake employment offers are prevalent on the net. Some common work at home scams are more noticeable, such as envelope stuffing.
Work at home scams take many forms. Most of the companies do not secure regular salaried work for the home based workers. They do not mention how many hours you will need to work without pay. Some others require you to spend money on instruction manuals before gaining the job. Some companies want paid training. Consequently work at home scams cost victims thousands of dollars and also valuable time.
In order to avert being a dupe of work at home scammers, you need to scrutinize the company before taking on any employment from them. In fact legitimate companies offer all the information in writing you require. Here is some tips to help you avoid work at home scams:
1. If you are required to provide personal data, avert giving it to an unknown person or company. Furnish personal data only to the company that you confirm is legitimate.
2. You should check out the company by typing their name of the company in the search box of Better business Bureau. If there is any form of complaint about this company, avert contact with it.
3. There is no easy road to riches. All jobs need some effort to gain a better income. Therefore, beware of companies that promise to make you rich overnight, in that respect there is no such thing.
Re-shipping fraud is fast getting a popular work at home scam. With this type of job, the home based worker needs to receive, repack and then send the products to a foreign address. They are assured a significant amount of money. But the worker may not recognise that the merchandise was paid for with stolen credit cards.
The home based worker would consequently become a part of receiving and mailing of stolen goods without their knowledge. The worker receives the merchandise, repackages it with their own funds and are told they will be repaid on pay day, it gets worse!
They are then told, their pay will be by cashier’s check, but curiously it’s for more then owed. The worker is told to deposit the check and send the difference to the employers foreign bank account. Eventually, the cashier’s check bounces and they end up owing their bank the amount of the whole check.
If you want to choose a legitimate work at home job, then do not take any job offer that assures to provide a high income for a part time job. Some companies can promise you get rich quick schemes. Remember only hard work and commitment can aid you earn a decent income from home.
If you are asked to pay for start up kits, then never send money to such companies. Legitimate companies do not charge anything to employ you. If you are not sure about the legitimacy of a company, then you should ask for references.

i know a lot of people who are really earning good money out of their work from home works. y
es, there been several incidents where people are actually ripped off. it is good and i really appreciate you for
putting the scam issues first to aware people. we need to build an awareness building campaign from getting
people out of these scams.
